Technical Difficulties

November 18, 2016 | 0 Comments

I wanted to let readers know that I’ve been experiencing technical difficulties with my Internet connection recently (and working a lot and travelling a bit), all of which has been keeping me from blogging for the past week. Apologies, my lovelies!  I’ve ordered some new tech to [...continue...]

MEL Magazine: Interlude at Standing Rock

November 8, 2016 | 0 Comments

Dawn at the Oceti Sakowin camp. The article I wrote for MEL Magazine about my time at the #NoDAPL protest camp in North Dakota was published yesterday. It’s a combination of a meditation on the camp between clashes with militarized police, and an informative article that gives information on [...continue...]

Brothel Museums and How Women Won the West

September 19, 2016 | 0 Comments

It's interesting to think that in states that are now staunchly red, such liberal ideas once flourished. And not so very long ago, either. And it's even more interesting to realize that these brothels contributed to the early days of white settlement in America. [...continue...]

I Wrote About the First Sex Toy for Trans Men!

August 17, 2016 | 0 Comments

The Buck-off is the first and only pleasure product designed specifically for the bodies and needs of trans men, and luckily for me, the wonderful people at MEL Magazine were just as stoked as I was when I told them about it! The result is an article I wrote for them, with the help of Buck himself and his co-developers at Perfect Fit Brand pleasure products. [...continue...]

More Love, Less Hate

June 13, 2016 | 0 Comments

I can’t decide what to write here. On the one hand I’m afraid to write anything because it can’t be enough. But this is my blog, and my feelings are in such a jumble. I can’t seem to focus on anything, and writing about these feelings blocking up the works might help. So [...continue...]

David Bowie’s latest transformation

January 11, 2016 | 1 Comment

I’m sitting here with my David Bowie shrine glowing, still trying, after fourteen hours, to process the information that came to me via Facebook just after midnight. I have a lot to do today, but I keep just sitting here. I’m blindsided. Heartbroken. Devastated. David Bowie was 69 [...continue...]

So long, 2015!

December 31, 2015 | 0 Comments

My Jetpack plug-in on WordPress tells me that this little steam engine of a website got around 11,000 views in 2015. Considering that for most of the year, the comments section and search functions weren't working properly, that my affiliate links haven't been correctly linked(which means I don't actually make any money on them), that my blogging frequency went way down after numerous health problems told me that I had to slow down, and that I waver between thoughtful articles and random, off-topic rants... I'm amazed and humbled by that number. 11,000 is impressive AF, and I'm just over the moon about it. [...continue...]

Winter Solstice Reflection

December 21, 2015 | 0 Comments

Image by Tom Swift Bird. It’s the night of the winter solstice, friends. The darkest night of the year. Fittingly, I just read this essay/short story by Christopher Zeischegg. It is dark. Very, very dark. It corresponds with a short film that he just released that is NSFW as all hell and is [...continue...]

I Got Yer Links Right Here!

October 29, 2015 | 0 Comments

I am mostly unpacked (by which I mean my clothes, books, DVDs, and sex toys are all put away, so I'm good), and the WiFi is working, and our heat is finally fixed! So now I'm buckling down to work on my book (by which I mean scrolling thru Tumblr and Facebook and pretending it's research). Since I'm so busy working (by which I mean procrastinating), I don't have much to write at the moment. But I do have some juicy, delicious links for you to peruse! Enjoy yer links! [...continue...]
