Video of “Chapter 2: Getting In” from “Watching P*rn”!

On September 30, I live-streamed a reading of the second chapter from my book, Watching Porn: And Other Confessions of an Adult Entertainment Journalist! “Chapter 2: Getting In” was a quick read about that time I interviewed to be a porno DVD reviewer for an adult magazine, and about the state of the porn industry back in the summer of 2007 when it happened.

Live Video!

This is a shorter video than the previous ones. That’s because I was sick when it happened. And, even though I took Dayquil, the reading was cut short by a terrible coughing fit. Whoops! But I also got to show off my Rocky Horror Picture Show T-shirt, talk about why it’s important not to get too sensational in these readings, and enjoy the effects of Dayquil on the way my brain was working!

You can watch the YouTube video below (the quality isn’t great; the internet connection wasn’t too hot that day), or on Facebook (which has higher-quality video).

Next Time

My next reading won’t be until October 21, since I will be at a comic convention in Vancouver during my regularly scheduled streaming time, hawking comics for my company, Oneshi Press! So join me on October 21 at 1:00 p.m. Mountain Time (that’s 3:00 Eastern, 12:00 Pacific) for “Chapter 3: East Coast ASSault,” in which I’ll describe my first-ever porn reviewing experience. Trust me, it’ll be fun. Till then, enjoy the video of Chapter 2!

In this chapter, there are quotes from adult industry professionals! Learn more about them at the links below:

Oh, hey! See that awesome print of a wild-looking unicorn behind me? That’s by my friend and badass artist Jessie Smith! Go nab some of her art! (The rest of the art on the walls is my own. And, if you’ve been paying attention, you’ll see that I AM changing the art in every video! I like to mix things up.)
