I’ll be gone for at least the weekend and the beginning of next week to report on the goings on at the Standing Rock Sioux #NoDAPL camp. My partner Jayel and I are leaving today. It’s a twelve-hour drive from Missoula, Montana, to Cannon Ball, North Dakota, and we hope to spend a few days gathering stories and photos of the aftermath of October 27th’s violence, the settling in for winter at the camp, and the sights and sounds of history being made.
While I’m gone, spend some time figuring out how you can help the camps on the plains of North Dakota. There are Amazon wishlists, crowdfunding campaigns, and many lists of other way to help the cause. I have to jump in the car so I can’t link from here, but trust me, if you go to Google or to Facebook and search for #NoDAPL, you’ll find many ways to #standwithstandingrock.
