And the first half of the interview is up on WHACK! Magazine! Lily Labeau and Danny Wylde, who are fabulous people and fucking adorable together, told me all sorts of secrets about their new website, Hotel Labeau. Some of which I was allowed to share, and some which I have to tryyyyy not to tell anyone about (they’re exciting!).
Here’s a taste:
Lily Labeau Yeah. Well, basically, my whole pitch is that I am giving my fans more of my own content. So the pictures there are high quality, artistic photo sets. They’re not just the stills we take before we do the boy/girl scenes. They’re specific, they’re thought out, and they’re meant to be very erotic, but also very fashionable and edgy. So I’m just trying to give my fans more of me, because I come from modeling, and I love traveling, and I love sex. So I’m just trying to give my interpretation of those things to my fans. And eventually, you know, branch out into other things. But for now, that’s what Hotel Labeau is for.
Danny Wylde My interpretation of the site is that there’s a long-term goal that has a certain aesthetic, but right now what the site is, is starting with not very much. Picture, like, an amateur site out there. Most people that have an amateur site, they just shoot it like an amateur site. Like there’s a camera, and there’s somebody having sex. But both of us have this artistic process that won’t allow us to do that, or at least I know I get very anxious when the video just looks boring. So we have to add all this stuff that’s just coming from us. There’s no real incentive to do that right now other than we just want it to be really cool for people. I try to look at what her background is and for me, since the music people listen to is really important, I tried to make it very electronic, techno-based stuff. I don’t entirely understand that background, but I try to take that and make stuff that can use that kind of look and intensity and feel. So yeah, we’re making our own music, we’re making all these interesting little vignettes. Some of them are a little more reality based, like we did a whole day with our friends Lou Charmelle and Michael Vegas… That update is fun but it’s not a little vignette. It’s us doing all this different stuff but eventually we come back and people have sex.
To me part of the appeal of the site is that they’re all different updates. It’s not going to be like, “This is a site about this right now.” For me, part of doing the site is that they all need to be creative.
