Apologies, my lovely darling crumpets, for not writing you brilliant new blog posts more often! I am in the process of trying to find a new apartment in New York City, which anybody who makes less than a million dollars a year can tell you is pretty much the equivalent of running around screaming and waving your hands in the air for a thirty day period, questioning your fiscal responsibility and general fitness as a human being, losing sleep over the possible drawbacks of that perfect apartment you just viewed, lusting after backyard space, and pretty much losing your damn mind. Not to mention all of your free time for a solid month.
So basically don’t expect a whole lot of original material at this juncture, mmkay? I’m busy.
But I’m still doing stuff!
- Like the podcast I’m featured in at Bitch Media! I’m on the latest episode of their “Popaganda” podcast, talking about feminist porn and reading an extended excerpt from the article I wrote for their upcoming Love/Lust print edition (due on newsstands on 9/9, people, calm down!). I’m featured along with the likes of Jiz Lee (!!!), Jess Fink, and Katherine Cross! Truly a group composed entirely of badassery. Check it out here!
Also, full disclosure: I am terrified of this article coming out. Oh my gosh. Words of support are very much appreciated at this juncture. - And also like my latest advice column at Luna Luna Magazine, in which I counsel a person who’s bored with their new lover to stop wondering how to ask him to change his schtick in bed and just take control of the situation.
A crumbly smidgen:
“If you sit him down and say, “I want to try such-and-such a position because I find missionary boring,” he may get nervous and bolt out the door. But if, on the other hand, you get on top and take charge next time you’re going at it, you both might end up having a hell of a great time in piledriver (or, you know, doggystyle)!”
Read the rest here, you voyeuristic vixens!
Have a question of your own that you want to ask me about? Send it my way (anonymously, if you wish!) here.
- And, and! I’m preparing for a creepy, flowery, crazy decadent evening of poetry with other Luna Luna writers on September 25! Come out to the Mellow Pages Library in Brooklyn on 9/25 and, for a $3 entry fee, listen to me read one poem along with the likes of Lisa Marie Basile, Alyssa Morhardt Goldstein, Joanna Valente, Dallas Athent, and Lea Anderson (yes, I am terrified of reading a poem with these heavyweights). The theme? SUMMER DEATH. Oh yeah. It’s gonna get weird.
So in the meantime, loves, please have patience with me and plan to buy a copy of Bitch on the 9th! Thank yew!
